Bibliography

In order to simplify locating titles in a library, author names transliterated from Arabic or Persian are spelled in the same manner as standard Library of Congress catalog entries. This may result in a spelling different from the spelling on the book itself, or a name different from that with which contemporary readers may be accustomed. For instance, the man well known these days as Rumi — and alternately known as Mevlana or Jelaluddin Rumi — appears in library entries as "Jalal al-Din Rumi." If the reader would like to locate an item in Books in Print, it would be best to search under its title.
